Fold cardboard

Sometimes it is necessary to make folds in cardboard.

The first thing to do is to determine the direction of the cardboard , whatever its thickness, in order to make the fold in the direction of the fibers.

Pour les cartons épais (2 mm et plus), entailler le carton au cutter sur environ la moitié de son épaisseur. Pour les cartons plus fins, la cartonnette ou les papiers épais, marquez seulement le papier avec le dos de la lame du cutter, un stylo à bille vide ou un outil d’embossage à petite bille.

Do not lay the piece flat to cover it: If you cover the inside of the piece, the fabric or paper may “curl” when folding. If you cover the outside, you could not being able to fold it again!
