Supplies

  • 1 mm cardboard or cardstock (approximately A4 size): I chose wood cardboard because of its rigidity.

  • Cardboard glue

  • Fabric marker pen

  • Fleece and  wadding

  • Felt and matching embroidery floss: I used DMC white threads, 310, 347, 819, 760, 3045, 975 and 838.

Felt and threads used
  • Patchwork fabric: approximately 20 cm. You can use two different fabrics for the front and back of the decorations. I recommend plain fabric or fabric with small patterns so that it doesn't look too busy. The felt will be sewn on top.

  • Gold thread

  • 3 half-round rings, 1 cm (used in sewing)

  • Small pieces of ribbon, 1 cm, which will not be visible, to attach the rings: approximately 3 x 3 cm

I recommend you to wait to get the following items as well:

  • Approximately 1 metre of 3 mm cord or ribbon

  • 2 x 1 cm rings, ribbon and a small bead for decoration no. 1

  • For the third decoration, a white pompom measuring approximately 1 cm, which you can also replace with a small ball, bead, bell, etc.

A few details

        - COVERING

If your cardboard is gray or printed, glue a thick white or straw-colored paper over it to prevent it showing through the fabric.

       - FELT

  • To cut out the felt, tape the templates on top and use small scissors to cut them together.

  • You can use fabric glue to secure the felt pieces before sewing them together.
